How does Atlantification affect the energy content and metabolism of krill in Svalbard waters?

Atlantification means that warm and salty Atlantic water is extending into the Arctic Ocean. This phenomenon has increased during climate change. Ella von Weissenberg collected krill around Svalbard in autumn 2022 and Pauline Bourdin and Giovanna Mottola have analysed the samples for energy content and metabolism, as well as cellular damage, under the guidance of Katja Anttila, University of Turku. There are clear differences these parameters between stations, and we look forward publishing the data in a near future.
